PARKLAND: The City of Vernon has posted a map and information on the preliminary park plan for Deer Park on Tronson Rd. The poster includes the City's website address for input by all CLE residents at: https://www.engagevernon.ca/deer-park-renewal-project
We encourage all residents to send in their suggestions/ideas for the final park plan. Construction is expected in early Fall 2020.
SOCIAL EVENTS: Due to ongoing Covid protocols, particularly the requirement for distancing, LECA was unable to host its two annual social events this year - The Family Beach BBQ and The Adult Beach Potluck. We look forward to resuming these social gatherings of neighbours and friends in 2021.

Parkland for Canadian Lakeview Estates – Update
At a Special Regular Budget meeting, Vernon City Council endorsed a Capital Project in its 2019 Budget for "Park Construction - Canadian Lakeview Park Lot" in the amount of $361,000. A portion of this amount was used this Fall to build the wooden fence delineating the parkland from the Haven B&B property. The remaining funds will be carried-over by Parks staff for the continuation of construction on the Park.
The next step will be for city Park Planners to schedule a neighbourhood Planning Session where they will present a draft park plan. This will be an opportunity for all area residents to provide input on what they envision the park to be, what they would like to see included. City Park Planners will then incorporate those ideas into the final plan for the Park. LECA will continue regular dialogue with City Planning in an effort to have the preliminary Planning Session and construction in Spring 2020.
